So, I've got this page on standby now, I can stop and capture it when I get one of those thoughts.
...like today, I guess, is as good a day as any. This day, July 3, 2019, a beautiful day in this part of the world, and the bees appear to like the yard going wild... interesting experiment. The idea is to attract the bees to the garden, then later mow, ...
And it's now April 27, 2020.
So... I've been busy since last July, now my cataract has become more pronounced, sometimes reading is quite taxing. The right eye is more clear but is focused on distance. Close up reading with both eyes... it's weird, it comes and goes, sometimes a blink and a flash of complete clarity. I don't know what is happening with that. My eye surgery is currently scheduled for June, and in July the other eye, but who knows now. We might have to delay at least. This is slow but not impossible, so there ya go...
I did manage to get my Tiny Desk Contest entry in on time, before the extension even, well, I only have me to organize. That's really quite enough (except for Eleanor, who did add a few of her own ideas, and although sitting still wasn't hard, staying put was), with a newer song and newer arrangement, I had learned a few tricks with the video editor (the free version, wasn't equipped before), and some local sound effects from the nature department.
I recieved a call from my primary care physician with whom I had an appointment next week, now rescheduled. It's a regular thing, but I'm still in the loop. I did say I was keeping busy, a record breaking polyp forest where they are not supposed to be (if you're over 50 you may know), 31, they said, a third we "precancerous." I'm supposed to have a yearly checkup on that soon. Not gonna happen for a while I expect, good thing we caught it when we did. Most people my age don't have that many and live. That's what he said.
This pandemic has scrambled everyone's plans, hopefully adjusting is not too.... stressful.
Still, we didn't get many visitors before, believe me, I avoid the flu like it's the plague.
Yeah, I know... still "social distancing" is not a new normal for me. At times growing up, being social wasn't my bag. I had things to do, study, and see; and I didn't need a committee to approve it. I was a bit of a misfit. Oh well. "Hi, how are ya? Great, see you later...."
Those days were hard, this is now, doing things together in wonderful.
Maybe we will yet again someday, in the meantime, friends.... it's a new world.
